Shri Joshit Ranjan Sikidar joined as Director (Finance) of the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) on 12th September, 2023.
He has around 32 years of experience in Financial Management, Financial Reporting, Corporate Taxation, Strategic Business Decisions, and Treasury Management in the Steel, Power, and Infrastructure Sector. Prior to his appointment as Director (Finance) in SECI, he held the position of Group General Manager (Finance) and Company Secretary at RITES Limited. He also worked in NTPC–SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL) and SAIL–Bhilai Steel Plant.
In addition to his current role, Sh. Sikidar serves as a Director on the Board of Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL). He is also the Director In-charge of HR & Administration, Information Technology, and Corporate Planning of SECI.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his impactful contributions. At NSPCL, he was responsible for mobilisation of funds for its expansion projects and received appreciation for its maiden Bond issuance. During his tenure at RITES Limited, he was instrumental in automation of various employee claim processes and vendor bill management. Under his leadership, the Company Secretary Cell at RITES Limited was recognised as the Best Department for the financial year 2021–22 in recognition of its adherence to the highest standards of Corporate Governance. At SAIL, he was honored with the Jawahar Lal Nehru Award for his contribution in Vendor Bill Management.
Academically, Sh. Sikidar is an MBA and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has also received Strategy, Creativity, and Leadership inputs from Singapore Institute of Management. Furthermore, he has also attended various leadership development programs, such as Program on ‘Financial Markets’ conducted by National Stock Exchange, Program on Private Public Partnership conducted by AIMA and various programs on Management of Risk, International Trade & FEMA, etc.
